Standing Ovation German Classics Brisbane
To say that this concert was a success would be an understatement.
The ending of our latest event was marked by an amazing standing ovation, as a full-house audience rose to its feet and applauded for several minutes, refusing to let the musicians leave the stage. For performers and organisers alike, these are the moments that stay in your memory forever.
We work for our audience. We create more than concerts - we create an atmosphere. The standing ovation german classics brisbane event demonstrated the growing enthusiasm for live classical music in Queensland.
Magnificent music, hundreds of candles, a glass of champagne, light refreshments, and genuine conversation after the performance. Our audiences are always close to the musicians, with opportunities to talk, ask questions, take photographs and share the evening together.
The programme was truly unique. For over ninety minutes, the audience remained in eager anticipation of each new work. It felt almost like a game, with the mood constantly shifting - from the light-hearted, humorous vocal lieder by Hugo Wolf (Amalia Safonova), to dramatic operatic arias by Mahler and Strauss (Dallas Tippet); from lyrical violin works by Clara Schumann (Emily Thompson), to virtuosic piano fantasies by Johannes Brahms (Artemii Safonov); from elegant flute duets by Bach (Anastasia Sechenova & Amalia Safonova) to songs with a rich ensemble accompaniment specifically arranged for this concert.
The final vocal duet - Johann Strauss II’s famous “Champagne Chorus”, performed by Amalia Safonova and Dallas Tippet, and accompanied by the full ensemble, captivated the audience completely.
When the final notes faded and the entire hall rose to its feet for several minutes of applause, it became a truly special moment for all of us.
Evenings like this remind us why we do what we do. There is no greater joy than seeing music bring people together, inspire them, and create unforgettable memories.

We are delighted to announce that German Classics by the Light of Candles will travel to Toowoomba on the 1st of August, bringing this celebrated programme to a new audience in the stunning surroundings of St Luke’s Anglican Church.
