Brisbane-based pianist and creative collaborator shaping the musical voice of BellSonance.
Biography
Artemii Safonov is a Brisbane-based pianist, collaborative pianist, composer and arranger. He completed his Bachelor of Music (Performance) at Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University in 2025 and is currently undertaking a Bachelor of Music (Honours) in Performance.
His work spans solo piano, chamber music, orchestral performance, vocal and instrumental accompaniment, composition and arranging. Performance highlights include engagements with the Queensland Symphony Orchestra, Queensland Conservatorium Symphony Orchestra, Ensemble Q and Queensland Pops Orchestra, with appearances at Brisbane City Hall, QPAC, QAGOMA and ABC Studios.
In 2026, Artemii won the Margaret Nickson Prize for Voice and Accompaniment, reached the accompanist Final and received an Encouragement Award at National Liederfest. His recognition also includes the Raoul P. Neil and Airdree P. Neil Foundation Scholarship, the John Nesbitt Endowment and Griffith Awards for Academic Excellence.
